We visited the National Gallery of Art.  Each of us had a compact disc to guide us around and explain each picture.  They don't allow cameras inside, so the following Sara and Michael favorites are from postcards (sorry for poor quality).
x000773.jpg (15699 bytes) Michael's favorite was "Saint Michael triumphant over the Devil with the Donor Antonio Juan," by Bartlome Bermejo.  He liked the shiny armor and the devil's snake-like armor.
x000780.jpg (22274 bytes) Sara spent a lot of time writing in her journal, but her favorite painting was "Boating on the Seine," by Pierre-Auguste Renoir.  She liked the way he painted the water.
x000760.jpg (28769 bytes) In front of the National Gallery is Trafalgar Square.  Pigeons are a familiar sight, and they seemed to like eating the food out of Sara and Michael's hands.  See how pleased Sara is to be so close to these sweet animals.
x000787.jpg (26814 bytes) The evening was spent enjoying Les Miserables.  This is one of our favorite musicals, as anyone who has ridden in our van can attest, having to listen to our CD and learn to sing along with "Do You Hear the People Sing."
